Speed / Heavy Metal
The power metal band LORDREN was founded in the autumn of 1998 by the brothers Martin and Thomas Aeschlimann. A few months later, drummer Thomas Meile joined the band and helped develop the concept of an enormously powerful sound. Shortly later, Harry Stuessi (now in Prakesh) was added as the singer and lead guitarist in order to turn to playing original compositions instead of cover songs. Roland Klueser completed LORDREN on second guitar.
In the summer of 2000, LORDREN opened the renowned “Out in the Green” open air in Frauenfeld. In the same year, the first EP, Lord Of The Damned, was recorded. When Stuessi left the band thereafter, the band faltered until 2003, when, re-grouping, Klueser took over the vocal duties as well. Already in the autumn of 2003, Christoph Mehr was introduced as lead guitarist and LORDREN rocked again!
2004/2005 saw LORDREN’s name appearing on many a hand- bill and concert poster, culminating in the recording and the release of the In The Cellar EP in 2006. Edgier, heavier and sharper, LORDREN is back on the scene and rocking, looking forward with their new partners, Quam Libet Records (label) and Rock-Rainbow (booking agency).
