| PUNISH recorded and released their first, eponymous album in March 2000 as a five-piece. Several concerts in support thereof followed and by 2004, three new songs were published on the MCD "Three Songs in Mental Disorder". After an intensive period of songwriting, the band’s next mile-stone was a studio session in December 2004. With producer Alex Krull (Atrocity / Leaves’ Eyes), four songs were recorded at the Mastersound-Studios in Fell- bach (Germany). The MCD "Four Songs in Morbid Lust" was released in February 2005 and continues to sell strong. After the former lead vocalist’s departure in early 2006, Reto Hardmeier (bass, growls) and André Mathieu (guitar, screams) took over the vocal duties and PUNISH chan- nelled their newly-gained power as a quartet by entering the Mastersound-Studios once more to record the current 10-song album “Dawn of the Martyr”.
