'Punk'n'roll'? - SNOOK'n'ROLL!
Snook deliver 40 minutes of action. ‘Action rock’, to be more precise. And this, in fact, was the last thing to be precise about Blessed With Rock N Roll.
After two EPs, Snook miraculously managed to put aside their beer cans and swipe their grimy hands over the fretboards until the twelve songs of their first full-length album were recorded. (I’m not supposed to tell you about the two hidden bonus tracks. But then again, they’re not really hidden, they just lurk there in the depths.) Snook may be cheapskates to include three of their EP-era songs, but tracks like “Whore Of Yourself” and “One Night Stand” have all the sleaze and the greaze of “Heavy Metal Pussy”, “Supersonic” and “Rock City”.
And if I were to tell you that Lemmy K. himself sings on half of Blessed With Rock N Roll, you have two options: either you believe me – or you check out the album and concur that it makes no difference whether it truly is ‘the Wart’ or Stutz Snook who bellows out these symphonies of snot!
Action, man, action!
