Dear hard'n'very heavy bands,

Due to the continuous positive echo on the HEAVY METAL NATION I-IV compilations, Quam Libet Records will release another compilation which might feature your band!

This CD will abound with all the styles of rock, metal, doom, death, black ... in short: with the music we all love and play. Loud.

You might want to risk an earful of the former HEAVY METAL NATION CDs to get an idea of what the next album will NOT sound like - because YOU will be on the next one!

HEAVY METAL NATION V project

Left, right, and centre you will be told that everything about the music business is going downhill these days, and that we had better put our guitars aside once and for all. - There may be some out there who actually surrender, but we all know that the Swiss underground is pulsating fervently, and the eruption in the shape of HEAVY METAL NATION, the first compilation by Quam Libet Records, caused many a preconception to crumble to dust!

To further fortify the feelings of union and co-operation between bands near and far, Quam Libet Records will release another compilation in the summer of 2009. Therefore, extraordinary, innovative, talented and ROCKING bands are now wanted.

A compilation CD which can be given away for free, or be sold at a low price is an ideal way of self-promotion for a band. However, contrary to the proceedings with a normal, costly band demo by any one band which needs to be sent to any possible and impossible place all over, all of the other bands on this compilation will promote YOUR band as well when they distribute their own copies of the CD! This type of dissemination is one of this project's most important and valuable assets. - Not to mention that you can surprise your friends and your family with a professionally produced CD featuring your music! Furthermore, Quam Libet Records co-operate with professional distributors, catering to the needs of record stores and online retailers.

And to make sure you can read your name on a real and officially released CD, the disc comes in a jewel case with some hot cover artwork, and a booklet complete with a band picture, line-up information and contact addresses of every single band.

 

Proceedings

So, if you feel your band ought to be on HEAVY METAL NATION V, simply send us your CD or demo.

Every band will receive 100 copies of the CD at production costs, and Quam Libet Records will handle the promotional distribution of the album. Considering the large number of musicians involved, this way, each band's contribution can be kept to a minimum and a large number of CDs will sift into the Swiss music scene, bringing your name to the attention of many new listeners. Thus, the sampler is not only a true alternative to a much more expensive EP or album, but it also constitutes a nice and relevant in-between release for any band!

Of course, we will contractually certify that every band retains all the rights to its songs. After all, this is a community project with a tried and tested co-ordinator which is supposed to help all involved!
